After graduating from college, we decided the next step would be to buy a house and eventually start a family. At that time we were renting a one bedroom apartment and we're pretty comfortable with our life as it was.
Then one day we started toying with the idea of buying a place of our own. We couldn’t decide if we should buy a condo or a house. After visiting a few condos which pretty much cost almost the same as a house, we decided that we might as well get a house.
These are the things that we were looking for in a home:
-new construction
-at least 4 bedrooms and 3 garages
-good school district because we plan to have a family in the near future
-one story
-open floor plan
-must have stainless steel appliances and granite counter top
-decent size backyard
-9 feet ceiling or higher
I won't be suprise if we add more to the list, but these are must have.
Tip: If you are in the process of buying, make sure to make a list of your requirements. This will help elevate some stress and help you and your better half decide on what is important.
